Gardening
My partner and I finished a big front yard redesign this year. We built a knee-high wall in a circle in the middle of the yard. One half is a patio, the other half is full of vegetable plantings, and around the outside is a prairie-style planting. With more gardening to do in the front yard, we have been meeting more of our neighbors when their out walking, which has been nice.

Trumpet Studio
My students have been up to some exciting things recently. Andrew just got back from a trip with MYSO’s Senior Symphony, where they played concerts in Poland and Czechia. Mica is getting ready to head off to college to study Music Education. Everyone is in good shape for going back to school or starting the marching band season!
Other Projects
This summer I have a couple woodworking projects on my bench- a wall shelf for workshop storage and a ukulele storage cart for at Tamarack.
About me
I live in the Enderis Park neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI with my wife, Katie, and my cat, Winston.
When I'm not performing, teaching, or practicing, I like to read, garden, and build things out of wood.
I have a Master's Degree in Trumpet Performance from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.
Teaching
Aside from my home studio, I teach at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, where I teach trumpet lessons, chamber music, and music theory classes. During the school year, I teach general music, ukulele, and recorder at Tamarack Waldorf School.
Performing
I enjoy playing just about any music you can throw at me. I am a member of the Wisconsin Philharmonic, and sub with various regional orchestras. I enjoy playing musicals, and have played dozens over the past decade, most recently Newsies at the Sunset Playhouse. I also play church services, weddings, and other religious, civic, and music events.
