Transforming my backyard
My partner and I have been working and playing in the garden all summer long. It started as a mess of shrubs and patchy grass, and now has four handmade garden beds filled with veg and herbs, a stone circle with a fire pit, and an arbor designed and built by yours truly, which will (hopefully) support a crop of pumpkins next year.

Home Studio
The part I’m most excited for- starting up my home studio. I’m looking forward to welcoming new students into my well-equipped trumpet studio. It has been a long time coming!
Other Projects
I’m revisiting some coding and programming- mostly html and css stuff for now. Just enough to get my feet wet for now.
About me
I live in the Enderis Park neighborhood of Milwaukee, WI with my wife, Katie, and my cat, Winston.
When I'm not performing, teaching, or practicing, I like to read, garden, and build things out of wood.
I have a Master's Degree in Trumpet Performance from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.
Teaching
Aside from my home studio, I teach at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, where I teach trumpet lessons, chamber music, and music theory classes. During the school year, I teach general music, ukulele, and recorder at Tamarack Waldorf School.
Performing
I enjoy playing just about any music you can throw at me. I am a member of the Wisconsin Philharmonic, and sub with various regional orchestras. I enjoy playing musicals, and have played dozens over the past decade, most recently Newsies at the Sunset Playhouse. I also play church services, weddings, and other religious, civic, and music events.
